As Bible loving followers of Jesus, we are committed to obeying all that God's Word says. This can be challenging at times, especially when the commands of God's Word and the mandates of government are at odds.
At EGBC, we are committed to honoring those who govern over us (Romans 13:1-7) because the Bible commands it. We pray publically for our governing authorities (1 Timothy 2:1-2). We do not tolerate slanderous speech or actions against those whom God has put into authority (2 Peter 2:10).
However, we also believe that God has commanded His poeple to gather together (Hebrews 10:24-25). The gathering of the Church is a vital means of grace (1 Corinthians 11:17-34). Therefore, we are committed at EGBC to gathering together, yet we continue to honor, pray for, and speak well of governing authorities.
When you gather with us at EGBC, we are asking that out of concern for public health and to honor those who rule over us, you do the following:
- Please RSVP for the 9AM or 11AM worship service. This will allow for adequate physical distancing in the worship center.
- Please wear a face-covering when you are entering & exiting the building. Since we are physically distancing in the worship center, we are not requesting that you wear a face-covering once in your seat (per the CDC & Sac County guidelines).
- If you or anyone in your household has experienced Covid-like symptoms in the past 48 hours, please worship from home.
If you have any questions about worshipping at EGBC, please contact our office staff here.
