The Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is a foundational reality to the entire Chrisitan message. According to 1 Corinthians 15, the Gospel demands that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. And so for nearly 2000 years, the Christian Church has proclaimed & celebrated this resurrection gospel.
At EGBC, we love celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each and every Sunday, we remember that we worship a living Savior. But during the Easter week, we are parcticularly focused on that glorious truth!
Here are a few of the things we do during the Easter week:
- Good Friday: The Friday before Easter (4.19), we will have a Good Friday service. A Good Friday service is a time set aside to remember the most horrific day in the history of the world - the death of Jesus. We will remember the death of Jesus together through song, taking communion together, and through hearing from the Word of God.
- Easter Sunday Breakfast: Everyone is welcome to come to EGBC at 9AM on Easter Sunday morning to enjoy food and friendship together. Everything will be provided. Just enjoy getting together and rejoicing with one another that Jesus is alive.
- Resurrection Celebration: At 10:15AM on Eester Sunday morning we will begin our worship service. This is truly a celebration that Jesus is alive. The hope of the Gospel is that Jesus not only died, but that He rose from the grave. We will celebrate our living Savior through song and the Word.
We hope to see you at EGBC on Easter Sunday morning. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our office here.
